What This Is
At Rooted, we spend our days alongside children and families across Tuscaloosa.
We see what it takes to advocate, coordinate care, and show up again and again. And we see the cost. Therapy, adaptive equipment, specialized programs, and even basic support like respite care are often paid for out of pocket.
Most families are carrying more than people realize.
The Rooted Family Support Fund exists to help shoulder some of that weight.
What We Cover
Funds can be used for:
Therapy (occupational, speech, behavioral, mental health)
Adaptive equipment
Summer camps or programs
Extracurricular activities that support development
Respite care
Transportation related to care
We also recognize that supporting a child often means supporting their caregiver. In some cases, funds may be used for services that support a parent or caregiver’s well-being when it directly impacts their ability to care for their child.
We trust families to know what their child and family need most.
